San Antonio, TX

Ian had to attend a Steel Conference in San Antonio and I was lucky enough to tag along!
We stayed at the Hotel Contessa.
La Villita was just a minute walk from our hotel along the riverwalk.
 The Alamo
This was the post office where I went to mail the kids postcards.
I got fully searched on the way in and thought it was strange,
until later that night someone told me that it was the FBI building!
Ian walked the Riverwalk to his conference each day.
Casa Rio restaurant has been here since 1946.
 Market Square

 El Mercado

In the gardens of the Briscoe Western Art Museum.
I stumbled upon the Buckhorn Saloon while I was lost one day.
What a find!

 The Majestic Theatre.

Nothing like geeking out with Adam Savage (Mythbusters) and
Michael Stevens (Vsauce) after spending three days with professional engineers 😉

Walking through King William district.

Guenther House, Pioneer Flour Mills
We found an old flour mill with lots of history.
The original family home has been turned into a restaurant, so we stopped in for breakfast.
We walked to the Pearl Brewery district (also along the Riverwalk).
We ran into these new ducklings.
Beer for walking around the market (and allowed all along the Riverwalk).
We treated ourselves to lunch at Cured (in the old administrative building of the brewery).
The food and atmosphere was so great!
The absolute best ice cream sandwich I have ever had.

And finally, a picture for Milo.
