Calgary Washbrooks

We were so sad to see Uncle Kyle and Auntie Michelle go this morning  : ( But what a great visit we had!  Our attept at a family photo after our 11th Anniversary party.   Evelyn was quite taken with the balloons for the party. We took Kyle and Michelle to see Devonian Gardens, and to visit the fish there. Evie reads to Uncle  Kyle.

Santa certainly spoiled us!  The girls go hunting for presents under the tree. Kaeli and Anna handed out the presents because they could read the names this year. They found some presents they liked! The first present Evie opened was a cell phone from Santa...she would have been happy to stop at that. Kaeli wrote a book as a card for Anna.  It was very cute, but Anna could hardly wait to open her present from Kaeli - it was a big girl booster seat!  Ian got me the Kitchen Aid mixer I have been eyeing for almost 10 years!  Kaeli had asked Santa for pink hair and a pink dress so that she would look just like Auntie Michelle who dressed up as Princess Bubblegum for Halloween ( http://www.bcbunkis.blogspot.ca/2012/10/monster-bash-halloween-party.html ).   I made Kyle and Michelle Scrabble throw pillow cases for their anniversary.  They spell out PLAY : ) Evelyn models her new fairy wings.  The girls got new robes f...

We spent Christmas Eve day in Banff.  The mountains and snow covered village were spectacular. We stopped for lunch at the Old Spagetti Factory. (Evie enjoyed the ice cream)   At the Banff Springs Hotel.  The chef's rendering of the Banff Springs Hotel. Kaeli was absolutely thrilled to get her response from Santa in the mail today!

Christmas baking done - and shared : )

Kaeli and Anna had their Kinderdance Christmas recitals this morning.  They were great!  This afternoon is Kaeli's first Christmas concert at school.  We will be missing it due to Anna's fever : (  But Dada will catch the evening show tonight!

I think the girls have acclimatized to Calgary!

Because dancing, running to appointments, cleaning the house, going to Kindergarten and baking cookies was not enough for today...Kaeli insisted on making a space diarama so they they could play aliens.  I am really ready for bed!

Dada is travelling, so Evie chats to him on her blackberry.  "Hi Dada!..How you?  Bu bye."

Kaeli and Anna helped decorate the tree.  They are very proud. Evelyn has mastered the art of removing ornaments from the tree. We continued our annual tradition of picking up our tree from Ikea.  This year, Kaeli and Anna helped to pick it out, and set it up.

Supergirls!  We are most impressed by the new polar bears in Chinook Mall! (yes, at this time of year we only go to the mall before it opens...) 

Spa Washbrook - the girls got their fingers and toes painted this morning. Evie in her typical dress up gear. Daily dancing.  All three girls passed their swimming lessons yesterday. We were so proud! Last weekend we traded in the CRV for a brand new Odyssey.  I don't have any good pics yet, but here is Kaeli chilling in her 'very back back seat'.
