Edmonton

We took a trip up to Edmonton for the grand opening of 

Meadows Recreation Center and Library (one of Ian's projects).

We tried out the pool together and then the kids and I tried out the library, indoor playground
and even decorated some gingerbread men while Ian took a private tour.
Unfortunately, we were all too tired to try out the indoor and outdoor skating rink.

 We spent the next day at the Edmonton Science Center.

 The girls had to pretend to be polar bears navigating the melting ice floe.

 They spent a long time in the airplane.  Anna was always the pilot, Kaeli was the stewardess and fuel attendant and Evelyn was in charge of security and baggage.

 We also spent a good amount of time in the robotics lab.  

Evie loved this robot that was programmed to move whenever you stomped your feet.

 Kaeli and Anna even had a chance to program their own robots.
